This school is mandated to explore the relationship of the basic natural and social sciences such as biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, sociology and history with Ayurveda.

Centre for Ayurveda Pharmacy

This is a new center and it will start functioning in 2011-12. The center will have the infrastructure of a full fledged Ayurvedic pharmacy that can manufacture all the classical dosage forms. One routine activity of this center will be to prepare high quality, standardized classical Ayurvedic formulations for the use of the IAIM hospital. The center will however also engage in relevant research related to standardization of manufacturing processes, technology improvements and pharmacological investigations into the efficacy of different dosage forms. At an appropriate stage, it will also design innovative training programs on Ayurveda pharmacy. The center will work in close collaboration with the pharmacognosy and pharmacology laboratories in IAIM.
